Birkenstock footbeds are over the counter supportive orthotics which come in a variety of lengths.

These footbeds are for men, women and children.  The are very accommodative and can fit in most footwear.

To ensure the proper fit here are some of the things to look for:

• The front edge of the footbed should extends close to the metatarsal heads

•  The front edge of the footbed should follow the line of the metatarsal heads

• A footbed that is too long, hinders the stepping movement and is uncomfortable

• A footbed that is too short does not sufficiently support the metatarsal area
